InfoSec Analyst
The Information Security Analyst is responsible for implementing security strategies and maintaining measures to protect organizational assets. This hands-on role involves deploying security tools, monitoring systems, and responding to incidents to safeguard company data and infrastructure.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Implement Security Measures: Deploy and configure security tools, technologies, and protocols.
- Monitor Security Systems: Continuously monitor networks, systems, and applications for potential threats.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Assist in identifying and analysing vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response: Respond to security incidents, perform investigations, and apply corrective actions.
- Collaboration: Work with IT and other departments to ensure security is integrated into daily operations.
- Maintain Documentation: Update records of incidents, controls, and procedures.
- Employee Security Awareness: Support training initiatives to promote a security-aware culture.
- Regulatory Compliance Support: Assist in meeting standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIS2, and GDPR.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, cloud security, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- On-Call Support: Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for incident handling.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Required:
- Experience: 2–3 years in information security or IT security roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network security, cloud security, and security incident response.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess threats and apply effective solutions.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred:
- Education: A professional qualification such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Security+.
- Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with NIST, ITIL, and other security best practices.
